Our Chakula Chema Restaurant and Sand Bar are located on the corner of the beach at Kwale island. We have a large stretch style dining tent which ensures you are covered by the shade and kept cool.
Soft drinks and water are available the whole day and once we arrive for lunch we also offer fresh juice and cold bottled beers. In 2021 we decided to add The Sand Bar and we can now offer a wide selection of quality wines, cocktails and more.
The Sand Bar has been built and furnished out of upcycled bits of old and broken boats, the bar counter, seats and tables are all repurposed and all under the shade of a Tentickle tent just like our restaurant.
Salum our barman is highly skilled and a great cocktail maker and our prices are great.
Unlike our restaurant which is solely for Safari Blue guests, we’ve decided to open The Sand Bar to anyone who visits Kwale – we’re loving the response we’re having to this latest addition to our Safari Blue offering.
The Original Safari Blue is the most talked about sea adventure in Zanzibar. Our tours, charters, dhows, seafood cuisine, friendly and helpful team are famous the world over!
